Blue Skies
By Forrest Hill
When I look up to the sky
The stars forever shining bright
Are raining love like clusters of diamonds
Far off in deepest space
My mind is filled with endless grace
Thinking beyond infinity to you
Blue Skies
My love is wide
Pulling you into my spacious heart
Blue Nights
Hold on tight
My love for you is greater than the dark
You are my infinity
Never ending serenity
Let’s traverse this universe together
This life is over soon
But underneath this silver moon
We’ll sail through boundless time forever
Blue Skies
My love is wide
Pulling you into my spacious heart
Blue Nights
Hold on tight
My love for you is greater than the dark
My heart is open wide like a rose in the sun
Dropping pedal blossoms at your feet like the chosen one
Above the wide open skies my love it true
I always fly back to you – my darling blue
When I look up to the sky
The stars forever shining bright
Are raining love like clusters of diamonds
Far off in deepest space
My mind is filled with endless grace
Thinking beyond infinity to you
Blue Skies
My love is wide
Pulling you into my spacious heart
Blue Nights
Hold on tight
My love for you is greater than the dark

Rust
By Forrest Hill
This is the hour, my love
Take a free fall into wonder
Away from doubt
And the sanctions of the soul
Just a little glimpse, my love
Of the lines that flow between us
Happy to be
On this stage, growing old
I’ll be yours ‘till this body turns to rust
‘till the mountains fade, the rivers dry and the canyons turn to dust
May we forever be free in the refuge of our hearts
May we be, my love, may we be together
Take another step, my love
On this life that lies before us
Beating slowly
To the rhythms of our heart
Falling free, my love
Rest in peace and silent wonder
Embracing all
This one world has to give
I’ll be yours ‘till this body turns to rust
‘till the mountains fade, the rivers dry and the canyons turn to dust
May we forever be free in the refuge of our hearts
May we be, my love, may we be together
Carry me out into your still blue water
Planting your seeds of compassionate grace
I’m tied to this garment of our destiny
Nothing but you, nothing but you
I’ll be yours ‘till this body turns to rust
‘till the mountains fade, the rivers dry and the canyons turn to dust
May we forever be free in the refuge of our hearts
May we be, my love, may we be together

Carry Your Love
By Forrest Hill
I carry your love with me
I carry you in my heart
I’m never without you
and everywhere I go
I feel you grace
I fear no loss
you are my fate
I want no world
just you alone
I carry you my love, and just you alone
Your love has set me free
like a butterfly
with angles wings
you are the root
that gives me life
the tree of hope
reaching the sky
you are the secret
nobody knows
You’re the light that keeps my soul aglow
I carry you in my heart
I carry you in my heart
I carry you in my heart
I love you so, can’t let it go.
I carry you
Your beauty is to me
like the poet’s moon
and a sun that will always sings
and when my mind is still
I feel you grace
I fear no loss
you are my fate
I want no world
just you alone
I carry you my love, and just you alone
I carry you in my heart
I carry you in my heart
I carry you in my heart
I love you so, can’t let it go.
I carry you

Happiness
By Forrest Hill
Walking down this old road again
Talking to my demons when I can’t find a friend
Thinking I need more to find my way home
Frighten that I’m empty and just growing old
And you say, me and you, well that don’t make three
It’s not the things you have that can set you free
The more you want, the more you fear
That everything you covet has no meaning here
(Don’t you know that)
Happiness is an inside job
It’s the lightness of being
From the center of love
Happiness is not ours to control
So take your hopes and your sorrows
And let them all go, that’s freedom
I’ve read the scriptures, went searching for God
Tried to find love in the back of a car
Looking for something I can grasp on and hold
Watching the clock ticking, my spirits grow low
And you say, what in this moment don’t you understand?
All you need is right here in the palm of your hand
Life is short, so don’t wait long
Or you’ll wind up imprisoned by the same sad song.
(Don’t you know that)
Happiness is an inside job
It’s the lightness of being
From the center of love
Happiness is not ours to control
So take your joys and your sorrows
And let them all go, that’s freedom

Dance with the Angles

Dance with the Angels
By Forrest Hill
There’s a ringing in my head, like a bell from an old church tower,
wakes me up when the hammer strikes
I hear that silence, turns a key that sends me sprawling,
into the world of the darkest night
I’m always clinging to the morning light
Running away from the jagged knife
But I can dance with the angels in the pale moon light
Swing low boy, sink down into the muddy river,
to a place where a child died
Feel a shiver, turn the ashes in the bloody water,
touch a place where it hurts inside
Sometimes I wonder if I can go on
Sliding down into that same sad song
But I can dance with the Angels in the crimson dawn
I long to find that hero inside
To slay the dragons that hold me so tight
I sit here waiting for the morning star
To greet the day with open arms
Let’s do a dance, stand naked in the dew of the morning,
fell the power of the deepest earth
Touch the silence in a breath, hear the sounds of ancient wisdom,
from far across the universe
I seek that freedom that has no name
Where the living and the heart still reign
But I will dance with the angels through the pouring rain.

Autumn Song
By Forrest
Like a gentle breeze at the end of spring
Your love has set my heart at ease
Time is warping history
Into a new born mystery.
The quiet embers of this aging body
Had learned how to live this life alone
But now that fire is burning bright
Like a Phoenix in the night
Because of the summer in you
My love in autumn has bloomed
When life turns to winter
And day fades to dark
May your roots grow deep
Infuse this old heart
To blossom forever with you
The summer of life was way too short
Now everything has changed its course
The autumn winds they shook my limbs
Like a two-bit violin
Your timeless love has reawakened me
Brought me hope and sanity
And planted deep a new born seed
To rise again in spring
Because of the summer in you
My love in autumn has bloomed
When life turns to winter
And day fades to dark
May your roots grow deep
Infuse this old heart
To blossom forever with you

Breathe
By Forrest Hill
My love for you is more than just emotions
It’s bigger than the stories in my mind
Expectations are but a number
That poisons the vine
You on a clear blue morning
And I sit in silence and reflect
How love is more than just a promise
Of conditions to be meet
Devotion is the glue when you’re feeling low
You only loss your love when you can’t let go
So open up your heart when the darkness grows and breathe
Devotion is the fire that cuts the night
You only loss you love when you hold on tight
So open up your heart when the feelings right and breathe, with me
I love you without knowing the reason
I love you more than jealousy and pride
May the shadows that fall before us
Quickly fade before my eyes
Devotion is the glue when you’re feeling low
You only loss your love when you can’t let go
So open up your heart when the darkness grows and breathe
Devotion is the fire that cuts the night
You only loss you love when you hold on tight
So open up your heart when the feelings right and breathe, with me
There’s a sword in my heart
There’s a ghost in my head
There’s a knot in my chest
That I don’t understand
My devotion to you
Heals the wound in my heart
Shines a light on the child
Crying out in the dark
Devotion is the glue when you’re feeling low
You only loss your love when you can’t let go
So open up your heart when the darkness grows and breathe
Devotion is the fire that cuts the night
You only loss you love when you hold on tight
So open up your heart when the feelings right and breathe, with me

Hanging on a Wire

Hanging on a Wire
By Forrest Hill
Hanging on a wire
Everything is fine
Nothing going down
Got nothing on my mind
This is the life
We’re called to lead
This is our time
Let’s open up and breathe
While everyone is looking for a home
Building their castles, throwing their stones
I got you
And we are free
Together in eternity
We’ve got all we’ll ever need
So come on honey baby let’s take this world tonight
Living in the country
Driving into town
Playing silly games
Hear the subway sounds
After billions of years
Our moments arrived
Step out of the shadows
And move into the light.
While voices cry out, children laugh and play,
Cities lay sleeping and fortunes are being made
I got you
And we are free
Together in eternity
We’ve got all we’ll ever need
So come on honey baby let’s take this world tonight
Gather up the flowers while we may,
Time is swiftly flying away;
And those petals that bring a smile today
Tomorrow will lay dying.
I got you
And we are free
Together in eternity
We’ve got all we’ll ever need
So come on honey baby let’s take this world tonight

Missing You
By Forrest Hill
In a strange room
Lying on my back
Waiting for the telephone
In a strange mood
All seems so black
Turning into stone
Where is your call
Time starts to crawl
All color fades
Can’t see at all
There’s a strange tune
Ruing through my head
Images of you
I’m missing you tonight
Deep in my heart, these tears that I cry
I need your voice tonight
A whisper in my ear, oh I
There’s a small cloud
Hovering over me
Blocks out the sun
There’s a shadow
Covering up my pain
Nowhere to run
It’s been so long
Since you’ve been gone
I feel so cold
I can’t go on
In a strange room
Lying on bed
The clock keeps ticking on
I’m missing you tonight
Deep in my heart, these tears that I cry
I need your voice tonight
A whisper in my ear, oh I
Can’t seem to feel the night without you
This house is not a home without
Can’t seem to feel the night without you
This house is not a home
I’m missing you tonight
Deep in my heart, these tears that I cry
I need your voice tonight
A whisper in my ear, oh I

In This Moment
By Forrest Hill
Sitting cross leg in the silent breeze,
the jewel of the lotus hanging over me,
silently I breath into the night.
The storm is calm the sun severe,
everything changes from year to year,
happily I float on with the tide.
In this moment, we are two twisted flowers
a love without a future and a past.
In this moment, I’m thankful for the power
To be in this moment with you.
Sometime joy, sometime peace, sometimes madness feeds the beast
touch the heart, feel, and let it go.
There’s no reason, there’s no rhyme
the world keeps changing all the time
but this must be love, that’s all I know.
In this moment, we are wild and free
The speechless moon shines in your eyes.
In this moment, there is nothing more I need
Then to be in this moment with you.
Our bodies are a guest house
where joy and pain come flowing through like waves,
and I will do anything to help you
but my life’s the only one I can save
Sitting cross leg in the silent breeze,
the jewel of the lotus hanging over me,
silently I breath into the night.
The storm is calm the sun severe,
everything changes from year to year,
happily I float on with the tide.
In this moment, we are two twisted flowers
a love without a future and a past.
In this moment, I’m thankful for the power
To be in this moment with you.
